At the beginning, our mindmaps

These mindmaps were very useful in identifying and starting our project. We had to think about our theme beforehand, which is: "Improve municipal waste management through citizen action".

These mind maps allowed us to express our thoughts on the subject. And above all, they allowed us to go to the end of our ideas thanks to the ramifications. These mindmaps solved some of our questions, gave rise to new ones, but above all developed our minds on the subject. So we thought a lot about it, which led to one idea in particular: composting. The idea of recycling ourselves and including the municipality was an idea that came up in all our mindmaps.

Below you will find the link to one of our mindmaps, as well as all the mental paths we have taken to try to achieve the objective of our theme:

Specification of our project

We then specified our project, putting all our ideas together on a glitch. During our discussions, we detailed the offer of our project, the service it allowed. We analysed the competition and how they differed. We also chose our target audience, and started to imagine the future identity of our brand.

This part will allow you to really understand our project and our objectives, as well as our motivations through the context. This part aims to give you a taste of our application!

Creation of the application

The creation of the application was done in 3 main steps.

1. The Wireframes

Created with Figma, the wireframes allowed us to give a very global view of what we wanted the application to look like. We wanted something clean, clear and intuitive. Click here to see our wireframes !

2. The Mockup

It's the culmination of our application. They are interactive and really correspond to the future visual of our application. Finally, thanks to these mockups we could imagine the user journey on our application. Click here to see our mockup !

3. The Tests

Since nothing is perfect the first time, we performed several user tests, the results of which are listed in a Notion document, in order to get their feedback and improve our application. As a result of these tests, we have modified some points of our application, and we have made some new ones. User feedback is always constructive! Click here to see our Notion !

Feedbacks of our user 1 and user 2

Modification after the feedback of our user 1

Technologies used

We use the QR code in our application. They are very important as they allow you to register your compost donations at the collection site. Just scan the QR Code from your phone and you have all your deposit information registered!

One of the features of our application allows you to see the collection points on the map in real time and to get there thanks to the itineraries. Geolocation is a process that allows an object, a vehicle or a person to be positioned on a map using its geographical coordinates.
